Fabindia is the 1st shop I visit anywhere in India. This branch is quite small but there's a decent variety and the quality is good. Prices are reasonable.

For a tourist, this was recommended by my Indian friends as a decent place to buy Indian clothes and with good quality and price.
I have liked the available options for Kurta, nice fabrics, and design. However, they seemed limited sometimes with regards to colors, so they felt like basic but still good .
I think it is not as trendy as one thinks. However, it seems very practical.
I bought four pieces and, as I said, a very practical place and for everyday wear rather than celebratory fancy designs.

Fab India is a nice shop- a chain- like a mini department store. Very stylish and staff was pretty helpful. Definitely not the best value but nicely curated and still decent western prices. You can find a better local shop with a little local assistance.
